Slotskampen was a day of celebration!
The famous dodgeball tournament took place on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 3 PM.
As tradition dictates, there was no teaching from 2 PM, where students from UC SYD, IBA, DSKD, and SDU gathered for a day of fun, entertainment, and camaraderie across institutions and studies!
The day of celebration kicked off with a drag show by none other than Mizz Privileze, followed by FREE beer for 1 hour and a DJ.
The event took place in the area in front of SDU Kolding.
DODGEBALL AND PARTY
Here is a look back at 2023, where we kicked off the party with a bang - namely with a drag show by Mizz Privileze!
Super Sonic from Sonic College emerged victorious and had the honor of taking home the Golden Castle Trophy at the Friday bar.
Food Reformers provided surplus food that could be heated over a bonfire.
There were cool prizes for the teams with the best team spirit, best battle cry, and best costume.

2.00 PM: No classes at all educational institutions.
2.30 PM - 3.00 PM: Check-in at the venue. All participants receive a tote bag and have their team photo taken.
2.30 PM - 3.30 PM: Open bar!
3.00 PM - 3.30 PM: Kick-off. Introduction of teams.
3.30 PM - 5.00 PM: Tournament.
5.00 PM - 5.30 PM: Break and award ceremony for best costume, funniest team chant, and best team spirit.
5.30 PM - 7.00 PM: Tournament.
7.00 PM: Announcement of winners.

Drag show with Mizz Privileze
The legendary Mizz Privileze hosted a festive drag show! There was sarcasm, witty jokes, and spectacular costumes with style and elegance.
Spikeball with DAI
Have you ever tried Spikeball? DAI had the popular summer game with them, which has taken Denmark by storm!
Sustainable food with Food Reformers
After a day filled with action, Food Reformers provided delicious, sustainable, and FREE food. It provided energy to keep the party going all day!
Cornhole and popcorn with HK
HK had cornhole, where students challenged each other and won prizes.
Badge workshop with Campus Kolding
The students decorated beautiful badges with team names, battle cries, and creative drawings.
No Slotskamp without mega awesome prizes!
Slotskampen featured a wide range of prizes including tickets to the GRØN concert, gift cards worth 1,000 DKK for Rabalder Bar or Mørks, and of course, the prestigious Slotspokal!
As a new addition, the top 3 also received engraved medals to commemorate the eventful day.
In addition to prizes for the top 3, there were also awards for the best costume, funniest team chant, and best team spirit, all of which received colorful ribbons and gift cards.
The official rules
Team members: A team consists of 5 players + max 2 substitutes, meaning there are always only 5 players on the field at a time.
Only one player is allowed to perform on a team throughout the tournament. All players must be registered in advance, and it is therefore not allowed to make substitutions during the day.
Balls: There are 3 balls in play at a time, placed in the middle of the field at the start of each match.
Game duration: 2 teams play against each other for a maximum of 5 minutes or until one team has no players left on the field.
If both teams still have players on the field after 5 minutes, the team with the most players on the field wins. If both teams have an equal number of players on the field, the match ends in a draw.
Match start: The match starts with players standing on their respective back lines. When the referee blows the whistle, the match begins. Players must touch their own back line before shooting at opponents.
Ball game:
If hit by the ball, a player must immediately leave the field.
Catching a ball thrown by the opponent eliminates the thrower from the game. Additionally, the catching team gets 1 player back on the field.
Players are allowed to block with the ball.
Stalling tactics are strictly prohibited. It is at the referee's discretion when this occurs. The referee may penalize a player in these cases.
Draw: In the event of a draw in quarterfinals, semifinals, or finals, the match continues until one team has an advantage.
In special circumstances, the organizers may deviate from these rules.
